Our First Concert of the Year!
Join your students in celebrating the good work of the first quarter at our Debut Concert in the Deb Fennell Auditorium at Tigard High School.
Call time for students is 6 pm Dressed and Pressed in the Auditorium. (see Attire expectations in our Choir Handbook on our Website which is found under Documents and Forms.)
Concert begins at 7 pm.
We Pass the Hat in support of the choir program.
Reserved Seating is available for $10 per seat. Cendy Doyle’s information will be updated soon.
Our Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, October 5th, from 8 – 11 pm in the THS Cafeteria. This is our main fundraiser. We need all hands helping out!
Concert Choir members are expected to support in the execution of the event by participating in several of the following activities:
- Painting and creation of cafeteria signage and decorations during the week.
- Decorating and setting up the cafeteria on Saturday morning from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Helping with Coat Check shifts from 7:30 PM until 11:30 PM.
- Tearing down, 11:00 PM – until it is done (hopefully no later than 12:30 AM) of decorations and resetting the cafeteria to be operational on Monday Morning.
For those parents who have volunteered, THANK YOU!
Parents show up at 7 PM (updated) and will be assigned locations to work.
Bring Ear Plugs!
- 2 parents will be collecting AT THE DOOR payment for tickets ($15), checking school ID and writing down names of each student that arrives to purchase a ticket. NO AT THE DOOR tickets are sold to non-THS Students.
- Parents will be in pairs at the bathrooms, at the exit doors to make sure students do not let other students in, at the snack and water tables.
- All parents will assist in tear down in order to facilitate getting kids home as soon as possible.
The choir website has gone through an extensive renovation and update in preparation for the 2019-2020 Choir Season!

Congratulations to Concert Choir for once again being invited to sing at the OSAA State Choir Championships! We will be singing in the 6A Division competition on Wednesday, May 1st at 9:20 AM in Corvallis on the campus of OSU. We perform in the LaSells Stewart Center.

Thank you to all who auditioned for Concert Choir! There was a great talent pool from which to choose.
Congratulations to those selected for membership in Concert Choir 2020!
There will be 7 S1, 11 S2, 15 A, 10 T, 9 B1, 9 B2 for a total of 61 members. 33 SA, 28 TB. You should movement between sections to accommodate the music we perform. I am pleased with the blend and balance that these selected voices will achieve. You will received the Fall Concert Repertoire before you leave for the Summer. You will be expected to learn the Repertoire in advance of the first rehearsal in the Fall.
Your membership is conditional. You must end the year in good standing in the choir program, maintaining excellent attendance in all classes and maintaining passing grades in all classes.
Under no circumstances are you to engage in speculation about who or why anyone was selected, engage in negative social media activity, get involved in gossip or show an attitude that would reflect poorly on you, your peers, the choir program or Tigard High School. Failure to uphold your end of the contract that you and your parents signed will cause you to forfeit your membership in the choir.
Be proud of your selection on the inside. Be humble on the outside, demonstrate maturity and integrity as you interact with your peers. That is how we roll in the choir program at Tigard High School. Live it well!
